Semester Exam Project
What did I think of this project? This last project involved writing 10 different problems that may or may not be used in the midterm exam. This project was very helpful because we further reviewed how to solve problems in all the content in the chapters that we covered. I really enjoyed this project because there was an element of creativity since we could make our own problems. It also really helped me review, since I am a kinesthetic and visual learner. Overall the project was very beneficial to my learning.
How are you going to study for the exam? I am going to study for the exam by reviewing the problems that I had made for this project. I am also going to go to office hours, and look to friends to further explain concepts taught in class. I believe the repetition of concepts will be very beneficial to me. How did [the semester] go, what are your strenghts and weaknesses related to working and understanding the content in Algebra II? Overall, the semester went very well. I learned many new concepts, but definitely had many challenges grasping new information. This however, made me learn the concepts better in the long run. I think my strengths in math are definitely graphing, since it is a way to visualize equations, it makes sense to me. I really had problems with concepts where this could not be done such as complex numbers. I believe the semester went very well overall. |
Final Algebra II Exhibition
What project am I exhibiting? The project that I am exhibiting is the Linear Landscapes Project. This project was a project that helped us graph linear lines with different types of equations. Then we drew a picture using these lines that was a land scape scene.
How does this project represent what I have learned in Algebra II? This project represents what I have learned in Algebra II because it exhibits the different linear graphing equations that we have learned. I also from this project learned how to use the correct format for graphing lines (arrows, labeling points, etc.).
Explain what I have learned while doing this project. During this project I learned how to graph lines correctly using six different types of equations that Effi taught us. These different types of linear equations included: horizontal, intercept, point-slope and more.
What would I do differently if I were to do this project again? I would probably try and draw something more creative than a simple cliff and tree. After looking at other peoples drawings I thought that there were some cool things people did.
What do I see as my greatest strenghts and weaknesses in future math classes? I think one of my greatest strength in math is that I really like math overall, so I try pretty hard. My weaknesses are that I get easily distracted in class.
