This project was a vocabulary based project. We had a certain type of words that could help us when traveling. One group had airport vocabulary that all related to the airport. Our group had restaurant vocabulary. We were to look into a certain place, which we did Honduras, and look into the cultural aspects of the location, and incorporate these into our skit. This was all in Spanish. We had to write skits to perform in front of an audience all from memory in Spanish, which was very difficult. It was a very educational experience, and was just challenging enough.
There were a lot of positives that came from the audience. The first one being people skills, which I was not very good at. However this project really challenged me in public speaking. Having the exhibition in Spanish and in a skit format was very difficult, but it helped me improve my public speaking skills. I think another positive thing that came out of this project was learning all the related vocabulary. It was very real world based themes that we were writing about. |
